Readers of my blog, do you see ads?
And do you see ads EVERY time you visit my blog? Or is it just SOMETIMES you see an ad? And do you see one ad or multiple ads?
Is this bothersome and annoying to you? Have you seen “inappropriate” ads?
THANKS.

I don’t see any ads, at least on my side of things!
Yes, I see ads every time. They are probably not of the quality you might hope for. Some seem to be misleading click bait about churches, even. There is one on now about paranormal activity and exorcisms, and one offering coffee and prayer. Very weird. I took a screenshot but can’t seem to find an option to post it here.
Thanks for your reply!! It is okay screenshot not working, I believe you. haha.
I do see ads, I am not sure if I see them every time as I am so used to seeing them on websites. They are wasted on me, I never look at what they are.
I see ads on the email notifications. I usually ignore them.
I see the ads. On a related note, I opted for the $48 per year WordPress plan and am now ad free.
Okay, checked back to see if you replied and there is an ad for Mormon.com and one called fool.com offering stock in marijuana. All these ads seem highly suspect, with odd grammar and phrasing.
I don’t see any ads associated with this blog.
I occasionally see an ad — usually the same ad on each visit to blog. I don’t recall anything “inappropriate,” though that is subjective.
Ads haven’t bothered me so far because they aren’t auto-play videos, and they don’t pop up over your content. Also, I recognize that you likely have no control over the ads.
Ada in the wordpress email but not on this page today. Using iPad and Safari at this time.
I see ads more often when I’m on my mobile device (aka, cell phone) than on my laptop. I don’t know why. Yesterday, it was advertisements about the wonderful healing power of tumeric, credit cards, & something I don’t remember. Click-bait. Annoying, but sometimes the juxtaposition of advertising topic and blog post topic amuses me. (Obviously I need to get out of the house more!)
BTW, I’m commenting using my new pen name. (It’s a long story, but I decided to have a “start over” for my writing career/platform building.) But I’ve read your blog for years. 🙂
I see no ads.
Since you raised the question I have noticed an actual increase in the ads. Now there is one across the top that obscures your blog header. All the ads seem strange, like click bait rather than legitimate. I haven’t clicked on any.
Thanks Becky. Ugh. On my end, it tells me readers will see an “occasional” ad at the bottom of a post. But this seems variable – some are seeing many ads (like you are), others see less, and for some it is hit and miss – not even seeing ads at times.
I do plan to upgrade the blog to get rid of ads!! Will do it in the next several days. So look forward to zero ads soon. Thanks for the feedback.
Just curious, did you sign up for the ads because you get paid for letting them appear on your blog? This type of ad is showing up on some other sites I read and I really don’t think the site owners can be aware of the “lowering of the tone” of the blog that it introduces. If they were, they would stop the ads, unless there is a compensation that is significant.
I get absolutely no pay or income from this blog.
It is a free blog through wordpress. Because it is free, wordpress has the right to put ads on your blog. The blogger (like me) has no control at all over the ads.
To have no ads, I will have to pay a monthly fee to wordpress. I plan to do that in the next several days.
Maybe put a ad disclaimer on your blog.
I eventually decided to pay to be ad-free because the ads were inconsistent with my values.
Hey everyone who commented! Thanks! FYI, you should see no more ads on Enough Light, as I just paid for the basic plan which gets rid of ads.
They are gone! They really did distract from things spiritual. Might be a sermon in there …
