Core Christianity had a post entitled: 8 Classics Every Christian Should Read.

Take a look. I’ve read 5 of the 8: #’s 2,3,4,7, and 8. Numbers 1 and 6 have long been on my list. Maybe in 2018? If I was to add one book to this list it would be Knowing God by JI Packer – although it may not be old enough to be considered a classic yet. I’ve read it twice, and know I will read it again.

Another book list I recently saw was: Pro-life books everyone should read in 2018.

I’ve only read a couple, but reviewed one of them here on my blog: The Hand of God by Bernard Nathanson. It is a MUST read, no matter where you stand on the issue of abortion! The details and history shared in this book – about the early years of abortion and what lead Dr. Nathanson to change his mind – should be known and contemplated by everyone.

Finally, a recent Christianity Today issue shared the top 5 “books more Christian high schoolers should be encouraged to read.”  This is from a print issue, so here are the books:

The Apology of Socrates by Plato
The Iliad by Homer
On the Incarnation by Athanasius
The Mission of God by Christopher Wright
East of Eden by Steinbeck

On the Incarnation is also listed on the Core Christianity list of 8 classics every Christian should read. As noted, this book has long been on my to-read list, and I have it sitting in my checkout cart with a pending book order.
