I’ve been delayed in posting as an extensive “geographical exposition” project for seminary had me consumed. Basically it was a maps project – not only did you have to label sites on various ancient near east maps, but had to explain how this helps in understanding the Scriptures. Might sound boring, but it was really quite fascinating. Having a better grasp of the geography of biblical times makes the biblical narrative come to life and make a lot more sense too!
But the point of this post is to share an upcoming on-line event that is open for people to “attend” via the computer. It is: Dealing with Doubt by Credo House Ministries (Parchment and Pen blog) and will happen March 1, 2011. It will be “live” and you can participate through discussion or questions by text or voice. It is a private event, and you can remain anonymous. See the link for more details.
Who is this for?
- Christians who are currently struggling with doubt about their faith.
- Christians who have a history of doubt.
- Those who have grown up in the faith, but are, for the first time, wrestling with the reality of Christianity.
- Those who are stable in their faith, but have experienced times of serious doubt before.
Who this is NOT for:
Antagonists or atheists who are looking to argue.
Our ultimate purpose is to be here for you during a difficult time in your life. We want to provide a safe place where you can ask questions and express your doubt without being looked down on. We want to facilitate discussion in a community of those who are in the same place spiritually. Most of all, we want to help you (re)establish your faith in Jesus Christ so that you can have confidence.
